White particles, polybutylene succinate (PBS) is synthesized by the condensation polymerization of succinic acid and butanediol. The resin is milky white, odorless and tasteless, and it is easy to be affected by many microorganisms or enzymes in plants and animals Decomposition, metabolism, and eventually decomposition into carbon dioxide and water, is a typical fully biodegradable polymer material. It has good biocompatibility and bioabsorbability; the density is 1.26g / cm, the melting point is 114 ºC, and the crystallinity is between 30% and 45% according to the difference of molecular weight and molecular weight distribution.

It entered the field of materials research in the 1990s and has quickly become one of the popular research materials for biodegradable plastics that can be widely promoted. It has good heat resistance, heat distortion temperature and product use temperature can exceed 100 ºC. The source of its synthetic raw materials can be either petroleum resources or fermentation through biological resources. PBS is a leader in biodegradable plastic materials.

Application

It can be used in packaging (including food packaging, cosmetic bottles, medicine bottles), tableware, disposable medical supplies, agricultural films, pesticides and fertilizers slow-release materials,biomedical polymer materials, etc.

Polybutylene succinate (PBS) is a thermoplastic resin with good processing properties. It can be molded on ordinary processing and molding equipment, and the processing temperature ranges from 140 to 260°C. The material must be dried before processing, and the moisture content must be below 0.02%
